On September 17, 1992, José Enrique Ramrez, a third baseman with the Major League Baseball team Cleveland Guardians, was born in the Dominican Republic.

He signed with the Indians as an amateur free agent in November 2009. He debuted for the MLB on September 1, 2013.

He had a career-best performance in 2016, which helped the Indians to their first World Series berth in 19 years.

Ramirez’s accomplishment earned him the Bob Feller Man of the Year Award, which is the equivalent of the team’s Most Valuable Player, for the first time.
