Canadian-born model Jessica Stam, 36, is listing her downtown digs for $1.89 million.

The one-bedroom, two-bathroom home is 1,175 square feet. It’s at 115 Fourth Ave., just off Union Square.

Since the pandemic, Stam, her filmmaker husband Brahman Turner and their two kids under age 5 have called Hawaii home.

“We fell in love with Hawaii, though I will always consider New York my second home,” Stam said. “I’ve been lucky enough to get to fly in for jobs and get my New York City fix.”

(She was such a part of New York City fashion life in the early aughts that designer Marc Jacobs named a bag, the “Stam,” after her.)

Stam recently shot a Zara campaign with Steven Meisel and recently walked for Max Mara in Milan, as well as shooting the Max Mara campaign, which comes out soon, she says.

All the while, she’s owned this downtown home.

“I was 21 when I bought the apartment and I lived there all through my 20s and into my 30s,” Stam told Gimme. (She bought the unit for $1.4 million in 2007; it was featured in Elle Decor in 2008.)

The seventh-floor loft comes with 11-foot ceilings, oversize windows, oak floors, lots of light and reclaimed carved Balinese doors that stylishly lead to a bedroom suite off the living room. There’s also a chef’s kitchen with oak cabinets and plenty of closet space throughout.

“I loved being in the East Village and so close to Union Square and Greenwich Village. I’ve had fun decorating it in different ways over the years. The chef’s kitchen, natural light, tall ceilings, huge windows and all the closet space are what initially drew me to the apartment,” Stam said, adding that she also loved the common rooftop with its own herb garden. “I’ve had so many fun times in that apartment over the years, and it was a quiet and relaxing space for me to unwind with my hectic schedule of work trips, fashion shows and photoshoots.”  

Stam says she still plans on spending half her time in New York.

“I’m downsizing,” she said, “and still plan to buy a part-time place in the city.” 

In the meantime, Hawaii sounds idyllic.

“We live in a farm-style house close to the ocean, with fruit trees and a large garden that we tend to every day,” said Stam, who grew up on a farm in Lake Huron-front Kincardine, Ontario. “We are a water family, so being close to the ocean is important. We grow all of our own organic vegetables and enjoy cooking meals together with food from our land. I grew up on a farm, so this really feels like getting back to my roots. My dad was a farmer and my mom took care of the home. I have six brothers, and she canned everything we couldn’t eat. Living part-time in Hawaii is a great balance from having to work in the city with the constant transatlantic travel I was used to for runway shows. My next apartment will be in the East Village or the West Village, close to the river.”
