James Bulger was kidnapped and killed by Robert Thompson and his partner Jon Venables.
After taking the toddler away from a shopping center in Bootle, Merseyside, two 10-year-old boys kidnapped and killed him in 1993.
The paint was sprayed in his eyes, bricks were flung at him, he was kicked, and batteries were inserted in his mouth. The boys slammed a 10kg iron bar on his skull, giving ten head injuries.
When James was killed, he was a couple of months away from turning three years old. His dismembered body was found 2.5 miles nearby on a rail track two days later.
